Which Plug-In Hybrid or Electric Car Should You Buy in 2023?

A decade or two ago, if you wanted to buy an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, your options were pretty limited. Though these models weren’t unheard of, they certainly were not plentiful. In 2023, however, you have far more models available to you if you’d like to fully cut gasoline out of your driving experience by going all-electric or at least greatly improve your efficiency with a plug-in hybrid.

Over the past few years, many new plug-in vehicles have emerged on the scene. This emergence of new options certainly gives you more choices, but it also makes it more challenging to determine which one is the best choice for you.

Though you may likely consider us biased here at Hyundai of Bellingham, we’d like to offer our opinion on which plug-in may be best for you. We think that vehicle may be the 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6.

IONIQ 6 Named Best Plug-In by MAMA

We know what you’re thinking… of course a Hyundai dealership would choose a Hyundai vehicle. But it’s not just us. The Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA) has great things to say about the IONIQ 6 too. In fact, they named the IONIQ 6 their favorite plug-in vehicle for 2023.

MAMA was founded in 1991 and is made up of roughly 240 automotive journalists and industry pros from numerous states. Their whole purpose is to be a mouthpiece for industry experts to discuss issues and products within the auto industry. In this case, it was the IONIQ 6 that caught their attention thanks in part to technology and design.

The IONIQ 6 also offers wireless device charging and a Bose premium audio system. As for the design, the photos really speak best for the exterior. Some things you’ll enjoy inside the vehicle include an extra wide sunroof and interior ambient lighting. Though the interior has a luxury and premium feel to it, it’s also made with sustainable materials, so you can feel great about how great you feel sitting in the IONIQ 6’s comfortable seats.
